Just as the recent storm swept through the northwest the prior day, Manchester City swept Manchester United aside at the Etihad Stadium. It was a statement three-nil win for the City coach's side thanks to goals from Knaak, Bunny Shaw and Lauren Hemp. It was a result that firmly established their championship potential as they strengthened their standing at the WSL pinnacle.
