In a surprising crossover event that breaks usual predictions, the game developer has announced an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Adventure Revealed
According to the official statement, "An unusual encounter leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where hints of forbidden rituals and fearsome transformations echo through the shadows." The plot introduces a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a clandestine cult.
The mission focuses on "strange trials and a fearsome enemy" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Familiar Places and Changes
The teaser showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer finishes with a striking sequence showing a character, probably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who successfully complete the adventure will obtain an exclusive katana in addition to numerous items secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
